I first heard of reflexology nearly 40 years ago. It aroused my interest but other careers intervened. Then one morning about eighteen months ago I quite suddenly decided that at my age, (then 72 yrs), if I didn’t do something about it, I never would.

I knew from the moment I phoned and heard David’s description of what Jubilee College offered that it fulfilled my high standards in every way. From the very first session joining Jubilee College was the best thing I could have done. The syllabus was clear, the tuition made the subject as easy as possible, questions and discussion were integral to the studies, regular tests encouraged me because David and explained everything so well, and it was all backed up at every session by practical work demonstrated with infinite patience and a generous supply of humour! The most important thing to me personally was that between sessions David was available by phone or e-mail to help, to clarify and to encourage.

Although I was the oldest student age-wise, I made good friends with whom I am still in contact. I started my part time business from home this month, fully insured, a member of AoR and CNHC, all thanks to tuition on the Jubilee College course. My talk to a group of ladies as a ‘starter’ has already resulted in eight appointments in my diary in this first month of business with a further booking, directly as a result of the first talk by word of mouth, for another talk and demonstration to a different group booked for November.

I am confident I shall go from strength to strength. I enjoyed every moment of the course and I love my new career. It has given me a new outlook on life in my retirement, and I am looking forward to gaining my “annual points” by attending Jubilee College day-courses to further enhance my reflexology skills. This course takes reflexology seriously - very seriously. David is a thorough and consummately professional tutor and delivers a course with an outstanding range of materials - not just the student hand outs but also the ongoing support via the School website with videos, podcasts, past papers, diagrams, templates, practice sessions, visiting lecturers etc etc. When I was looking for a course I was worried this one was expensive and now I know why. This is for people who want to take the subject seriously. This course means business!

On the other hand David is very approachable and his years of teaching experience certainly gives the course a light hearted and fun side to it. He is very passionate about his subject and his breadth of knowledge is outstanding. He is also passionate about teaching and this is inherent in the high level of support he offers to every one of his students.

If you are searching the internet thinking about which college to train to be a reflexologist at you have found the right one! My mum completed the course last year and kept on telling me how good the course was and how enjoyable she found it. Therefore I have recently completed the course myself successfully this year. The last year of training has gone by so fast and I am really pleased I have done it, as at times is was difficult fitting the work in around my part time job and 2 year old daughter! I can totally recommend Jubilee College and David Wayte as a tutor. The course provides an in depth knowledge on A & P and all aspects of reflexology. Although there is a lot of hard work completing the case studies it certainly pays off in the end. The day's on the course seemed to fly by especially when having reflexology done on my feet in the afternoon sessions. David is a very supportive tutor and is very helpful throughout all aspects of the course. David has an excellent knowledge of reflexology and is a very established person in the world of reflexology. I initially began this course as a bit of a sceptic of complementary therapies. However, I wanted to learn a new skill which would be mentally challenging but which was also very different from my corporate, stressful job. I have been absolutely thrilled with my choice to study reflexology at the Jubilee College as it has provided this challenge but also so much more.

The course is demanding in that there are assignments to complete every three weeks initially, regular tests on the anatomy and physiology and case studies to complete. These take a sustained level of dedication to the course but it is more that possible to complete the elements and also have a life – I have managed to move house twice, start a new job and have a baby during the length of the course!

David has been extremely supportive of my personal circumstances and has been flexible about how I complete my studies. I have moved from the Nottingham school to the Manchester school with ease and was made to feel very welcome. I have even taken my new baby to two of the classes as I have been breast-feeding and unable to leave him at home for the day. There are not many schools where you can take your baby to class, and have many wonderful babysitters there too. I think that this is a great reflection on David’s easy going but professional approach.

David is an excellent tutor as he has an extensive knowledge on all aspects of reflexology but is able to convey this in easy to digest chunks of information, delivered with a sense of humour. There was a wide spectrum of people on my course, of all ages and educational background. David was able to accommodate the varied ability class and made all of us feel competent and able to pass the exams.

As I mentioned above, I have gained a lot from the course. At times it has been an escape from the day to day stresses of life, I have made some good friends and I have laughed a lot. I have also been totally convinced of the benefits of reflexology. This is because I have been able to experience for myself the positive impact it can have on a person’s health. Because of the positivity of reflexology, I feel I have also regained some balance in my life which is invaluable.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this course ,though at times I had second thoughts as I didn't believe I could do it.
I found it very intense but this has made my confidence grow and helped to understand things that I never thought I would. I would recommend this course to anyone there is lots of support and you are made to feel at ease. It is one of the best courses I have ever done and well worth it.

Having qualified as a Reflexologist in 2008, I felt compelled to write to express my thanks to David Wayte, principal of Jubilee College.

Having started my training with another school, unforeseen circumstances meant my changing centres part way through the course. This was obviously quite stressful and I was concerned that this move might delay my qualifying as a Reflexologist. I need not have worried. It became obvious to me very quickly that David is always prepared 'to go the extra mile' to help his students achieve their goal. He was always only a phone call or email away if I had any queries or concerns, and was consistently positive and supportive.

I would recommend Jubilee College, without hesitation, to anyone wanting to study for the Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. I believe the high quality of training offered provides the best start possible for any future Reflexologist.

I can't speak highly enough of David and Jubilee College. David is so approachable and friendly - I instantly felt able to ask him questions if I didn't understand something or if I needed to go over any of the techniques again. The course DVD was also invaluable as it helped to practice in between classes.

The course involves a lot of hard work, but it's very thorough and if you are willing to put in the effort it's worth every second. Everything just seemed to click into place for me after I'd completed the case studies. It's good to know that I have been taught by someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about reflexology. Thanks to David's encouragement and inspiring classes I now have the confidence to change career and work as a reflexologist, something I didn't think would be possible when I first started the course, but here I am AOR registered and ready to go!

I embarked on the Reflexology Course with Jubilee College having not studied for 20 years. Initially I was nervous but David soon put me at ease. From the very first home assignment right through to the final exam, David was extremely encouraging. When I first enrolled to do this reflexology course I didn’t expect it to take over my life.

I have lived, breathed and slept Reflexology. I have never studied so hard in my life, spending every weekend on the computer typing up my hard work, but I cannot stress the amount of pleasure it has given me. It is without a doubt the best decision I have ever made.

I have made some good friends on the course, and hopefully will continue to keep in touch when the course is over. We have all laughed together and learned together.

I will soon be free to spend Saturdays and Sundays doing the garden and washing my car, as both has been neglected over the last 10 months, but will I enjoy it as much?

I enrolled on the reflexology course because I am a firm believer in complementary therapies and wanted to acquire a skill and a qualification to be able to practise reflexology and earn a living.

Whilst I have a background in adult education, it was a long time since I had been in the classroom, and it was strange how nerve wracking it felt at the start.

David very quickly put us at our ease, with his slightly strange brand of humour! He was always happy to answer our questions, however basic or ridiculous they seemed, and so we felt encouraged to ask more.

Whilst a fair amount of the course content was factual and heavy going (eg systems of the body), he would try and vary the teaching style and bring along quizzes (with chocolate for prizes!) or slides and other graphics.

He was extremely helpful regarding the regular course tests, always going over the answers thoroughly, so we could see where we had gone wrong.

The practical assessments caused particular anxiety, and he managed to make us feel that we actually knew more than we realised, which was good for our confidence. And whilst he had to pull us up on things we were doing wrong, he always did it with humour and kindness.
