The Association of Reflexologists is the UK
foremost Reflexology membership association, with over 7500 members
across the UK and many more worldwide.
As an AoR Reflexologist, you will be able to work
within the NHS, receive payment by many private healthcare companies and
have the respect of fellow healthcare professionals.
The AoR insist that all it's teachers have a minimum
of 5 years practitioner experience before they are eligible to teach and
that they have a proper teaching qualification too. Most AoR schools are
either private (like Jubilee College) or are part of a university. It is
not often that you will find an AoR endorsed course being taught at
Further Education Colleges.
The Private AoR schools have the advantage of being
able to run small classes, giving the student all the support they need.
Jubilee College has their tutors available to students 6 days a week
from the hours of 9.00am to 9.00pm. Also once you have qualified, you
can enjoy lifetime support from the college on any matter relating to
Reflexology.
Most AoR schools will offer flexible learning
packages - Jubilee College is no exception to this. Some students can
manage to undertake the course in one academic year with no problem,
others prefer to take a little longer. Jubilee College allows students
to undertake the course in 10 months, 14 months, 17 months or 2 years.
Many students have come to me for 'top-up' and
'bridging courses'. They have all said that they wished that they had
done an AoR accredited course in the first place. Don't get caught out
by some of the cheaper training establishments - if you want a quality
qualification that will open all the right doors, then it's the AoR
accredited course that you want.
